Compliments

Some people don't understand/realise, how for-filling, empowering, encouraging and eye opening a bunch of nouns, verbs and adjectives can be to an individual. If used in conjunction correctly they can structure a sentence so beautiful, filled with happiness, laughter and energy which may put a smile on someone's  face, brighten their day and help them see the little things in life worth striving/living for and take the optimistic approach.

Everybody experiences positive and negative aspects of a day, each and everyday and sometimes something so small, like a compliment may just assist you that little bit.

For me, as a teenager who can feel insecure and unsure sometimes, I hugely appreciate the time people (friends, family and even unknown individuals) take to make others happy as it really does reassure you maybe this day isn't so bad after all, maybe I don't look as bad as I thought, maybe their are nice, caring, genuine people out their who truly care about others well being and not just for their own.

A little while ago, one day, this all clicked to me and I thought to myself..."Compliments don't cost and thing and seeing other people happy, makes me happy, so from now on, everyday I will compliment someone" maybe on their hair, their style of clothing, their outlook on life, their personality, it doesn't matter, I just will. If it wasn't in person it was via text, thanking certain people for how lovely and meaningful their friendship really was to me.

This definitely helped me grow as an individual and has increased my understanding on how different people are but how unique and lovely they can be.
